The North Coast Wine Challenge recently announced its award winners for the 2015 competition.
Of 1,050 eligible entries, 174 wines were awarded gold medals with 90 or more points. The wines were presented for an invitational tasting on May 17, 2015.
A review of the gold medal winners shows that 162 wines (93%) were finished with cork closures. Eleven wines were in screwcaps.
